A Cyclical Experience Born from Coffee Grounds
Cupcycle is an innovative circular economy project developed to reduce the consumption of single-use products and transform coffee waste into a valuable design input. At the heart of the project lies a sustainable bio-material derived from used coffee grounds. This material offers an aesthetic character through its natural texture while providing durability that makes it a long-lasting alternative for everyday use.
During the design process, the cup’s ergonomics—adaptable to every moment of the day—its simple form language, and its versatile functions that respond to modern user habits were prioritized. Thus, Cupcycle becomes not just an object of use, but a design piece that accompanies the story of coffee and brings it back to life.
Cupcycle gives coffee grounds a second life. Organic waste that would otherwise be discarded is reintroduced into the production cycle through upcycling. Each product therefore represents an inherently sustainable approach, thanks to the very nature of the material.
